The Last Cloud is a series that challenges the viewer to face the realities of our dying planet. As we begin to experience the extremeties of nature due to Global Warming, the simple beauty of a cloud may soon become a distant memory or as this series depicts - a graphic. These hyper-realistic 3D renders challenge our perception of what is real and the importance of ensuring that we never have to battle to remember what a real piece of nature looks like.
Llewellyn-Karski chose to portray these elements as a photographer would light a model or a product - with intense purpose and appreciation of beauty. Set with studio lighting and a photographic backdrop each cloud becomes a delicate, beautiful item that pulls the viewer in. The Last Cloud is part of an on-going series "The Last....".
